About 1746-IV32 :
The 1746-IV32 is an SLC 500 32 Channel Digital Input Module by AB. It is a 24V DC current sourcing input module with 32 inputs and 8 points per fused common that is fixed in any slot of the SLC 500 chassis. It has an operating voltage range between 15 and 30V DC at 50 °C and a range of 15 and 26.4V DC at 60 °C and it has a backplane draw current of 0.05A at 5V DC. The 1746-IV32 has a non-replaceable electronically-fused common with the fuse rated at 2.5A and it provides a 60s 1500V AC-tested isolation from the backplane.
The signal delay on the input points has a maximum delay time of 3ms for both the ON and OFF states and the module has a maximum OFF-state current of 1.5mA. It also has a minimum ON-state voltage of 15V DC and a maximum OFF-state voltage of 5V DC. It has a nominal input current of 5.1mA per point and the maximum heat dissipation on each point is 0.2W with an aggregate of 6.65W for the whole module. The 1746-IV32 is CE, CSA, and UL-certified and it provides NEMA standard ICS 2-230 Noise immunity. It is designed and tested to withstand a working vibration of 2.5G at 57-200Hz with a tested peak displacement of 0.015 inches and maintains an optimal function even with an operational shock of 30G. It has a working temperature between 0 and 60 °C at a relative humidity range of 5-95%.
The AB 1746-IV32 is a Discrete Input module that is a component module of the SLC 500 product range. This module is a 24 Volt DC sourcing input module, with thirty-two (32) input channels grouped into four (4) of eight (8) channels each
Each channel of this module operates at a voltage range of 15 to 30 Volts DC at 50 degrees Celsius and 15 to 26.4 Volts DC at 60 degrees Celsius. It has a backplane current consumption of 0.050 Amperes @ 5 Volts DC and 0 Amperes @ 24 Volts DC with a channel isolation from backplane of 1500 Volts AC for 1 minute.
The module’s channels have a maximum signal delay of 3 milliseconds for both On and Off transition. The minimum on-state voltage is 15.0 Volts DC while the maximum off state voltage is 5.0 Volts DC and maximum off-state current is 1.5 milliamperes. The nominal input current to this module is 5.1 milliamperes at 24 Volts DC. It has an individual channel heat dissipation of 0.20 Watts and total heat dissipation of 0.25 Watts.
The 1746-IV32 is available in four (4) series - specifically, Series A, B , C and D. Series A, B, and C come with a fuse per input common which means that four (4) internally installed, non-replaceable fuses are integral to this series. Series D modules do not have internal group fusing.
