The AB 1746-C7 cable is a ribbon power cable that connects controllers and chassis. The spacing between the controllers and chassis are important to note. When using the 1746-C7 cable to connect SLC 500 controllers, the space between them should be between 2.5 and 4 inches. When using the cable to connect AB 1746-P4 power supplies, the maximum spacing between the supplies is 2.5 inches. The 1746-C7 cable itself measures 6 inches in length. It should only be used to connect chassis and controllers side by side, not in a stacked formation with one chassis or controller above the other.



The 1746-C7 cable is best-suited for connecting AB 1746-A4, 1746-A7, 1746-10, and 1746-A13 chassis.
