Product Description  of IC695PBM300

The IC695BPM300 is a Profibus Master module that is formerly manufactured by GE Intelligent Platforms (GE IP), now under Emerson Automation’s PACSystems RX3i Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) series. This module is used to implement data exchange over Profibus network, amounting to a maximum of 3,584 bytes of input data and 3,584 bytes of output data. This Profibus master module supports communication up to 125 DP slaves with each DP slave can send 244 Bytes of input data and receive 244 Bytes of output data. The IC695BPM300 supports all standard data rates specifically, 9.6 kBit/s, 19.2 kBit/s, 93.75 kBit/s, 187.5 kBit/s, 500 kBit/s, 1.5 MBit/s, 3 MBit/s, 6 MBit/s and 12 MBit/s. It can provide status information such as Slave Status Bit Array Table, Network Diagnostic Counters, DP Master Diagnostic Counters, Firmware Module Revision, and Slave Diagnostic Address. It is installed to an RX3i Backplane and supports PCI connection. Specifically, it must be installed in a universal backplane with a host PACSystem RX3i controller running firmware version 2.9 or later. It draws backplane current amounting to 440 mA @ 3.3 VDC. This module comes is provided with a Profibus OK ED indicator; Network indicator; and MOD status indicators. This module supports Synch and Freeze modes as well as Profibus DP-V1 Read, Write and Alarm messages. The IC695BPM300 come with upgradable firmware which is indirectly received via the host controller through the WinLoader software utility. This module must be operated at a temperature range of 0 to 60 Degree Celsius while the module’s storage temperature is -40 to 85 Degree Celsius.

The IC695PBM300 PROFIBUS master module is manufactured by the GE Intelligent Platforms/GE Fanuc in the RX3i PacSystems series. This module is designed to enable the RX3i CPU to send or receive data over the PROFIBUS-DP network. It has a single slot, support for a universal backplane, and RS-232 communication ports. The IC695PBM300 PROFIBUS module has an internal current rating of 440 milliamps at a rated voltage of 3.3 Volts DC and protocol support for up to 125 PROFIBUS-DP slave units. Other notable features of this module include support for input data at a rate of up to 244 bytes and output data at a rate of up to 244 bytes per slave unit, support for all the standard data rates, and the sync and freeze modes. This module also supports the DP-V1 read-write function and alarm messages as well as network status LED indicators and a PROFIBUS-compliant module. It supports input data at up to 3584 bytes and a total output data rate of 3584 bytes. The GE Fanuc IC695PBM300 PROFIBUS module’s master-slave compatibility requires the use of the RX3i CPU with version 2.9 or later versions of the firmware. For configuration purposes, this module requires version 5.0 of the Machine Edition SP2 logic developer PLC software, or later versions. The backplane current consumption rating of the IC695PBM300 module is 440 milliamps at 3.3 Volts DC, and it supports all the standard data rates, including 1.5, 3, 6, 12, 9.6, 19.2, 187.5, 93.75, and 500 MB per second. The GE Fanuc IC695PBM300 PROFIBUS master module comes with a 9-pin Sub-D connector designed to enhance the installation of the bus cable. This module also provides 3 LED indicators that are PROFIBUS-compliant and that show the network status and the module status.
