About IC693CPU374

The IC693CPU374 is a GE Fanuc Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) module from the 90-30 series. This

module is a processor module that is used to host the user program, execute the logic and managed data

exchanges to and from the processor via the embedded communication ports.

The IC693CPU374 may also be referred to as a controller. This controller has built-in microprocessor with

embedded 586 processor with processing speed of 133 MHz. It has a typical scan rate of 0.15 miliseconds per

1K Boolean contact logic. This controller module has a single slot width that is installed to the 90-30 PLC rack.

The IC693CPU374 has a user memory of 240KB. It has Two (2) Ethernet communication ports that supports

transmission speed of 10/100 Mbps with auto-sensing capability. These ports enable the controller to be

connected to an Ethernet network for communication with programming workstations such as desktop or laptop

computers, communication with Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition

(SCADA) systems as well as other processors for messaging functions. This controller may also be

communicated through the RS485 communication interfaces that can be found on the power supply whether

standard or high-capacity power supply.

This controller accepts user program that is developed using a variety of programming software applications

such as VersaPro 2.03 or later, CIMPLICITY Machine Edition Logic Developer 2.60 or later and Control software

version 2.50 or later. When performing online edit to a controller with existing user program, utilize the same

software with equal or higher version.

The IC693CPU374 CPU features a processor speed of 133 Megahertz and a total user memory of 240 KB. The

program memory can be configured according to the application requirements and it includes a register memory that is configurable within a range of 128 to 32,640 words, and a configurable memory for analog inputs and analog outputs. The

memory for system registers supports up to 28 words and the users can set up around 2000 timers and

counters.

The IC693CPU374 CPU features the 80386EX processor of the AMD SC520 type and it has 2 built-in Ethernet

ports that allow 10/100 base-T/TX communication. The featured Ethernet ports are connected through RJ-45

connectors. The unit also supports an RS-485 port on the power supply and it allows for communication through

the SNP and SNPX protocols. In addition to that, the unit supports several program storage devices that are
